The SCADA Coordinator takes a lead role in the support and maintenance of a 24 x 7 real-time SCADA control system. The SCADA system allows pipeline controllers in Houston to control and monitor pipelines that span the country. The SCADA Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The SCADA Coordinator takes a lead role in the support and maintenance of a 24 x 7 real-time SCADA control system. The SCADA system allows pipeline controllers in Houston to control and monitor pipelines that span the country. The SCADA Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- SCADA system implementation, integration, operation, support and maintenance that includes data analysis, screen development, database updates, point to point checkout and documentation.
- Create SCADA display screens (one-lines, overviews, etc) for the pipeline operations control center.
- Work with field technicians for point to point checkout.
- Interface with Control Center personnel and support team in supporting and enhancing the SCADA systems.
- Implement and manage work assignments through the MOC process for control center CRM.
- Operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- On-call rotation for 24 x 7 support of control center.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or related technical fields or commensurate experience is required.
- The ability to understand P&ID wiring diagrams or other related documentation of piping and field instrumentation such as temperature and pressure transducers, densitometers, flow meters, provers, and samplers is required.
- SCADA/HMI applications experience in the liquids and gas pipelines industry is required.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations and procedures is required.
- Knowledge in Ethernet networking, field instrumentation and equipment protocols, and pipeline communications is required.
- Experience in OASyS DNA is preferred.
- Experienced in a scripting/querying language such as Visual Basic or MS SQL is preferred.
- The ability to use Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Must be able to effectively interact with clients, SCADA Support team and other technical support groups.
- Must be self motivated.
- Must have the ability to work independently but also work in a small team environment, sometimes under a great deal of stress.
- The ability to communicate well and quickly trouble-shoot problems is required.
- The ability to follow instruction according to company policies and procedures is required.
- The ability to learn in a dynamic and fast paced environment is required.
- Good oral and written communications skills are required.
- At times, may be required to lift up to 40 lbs, transport and/or install various types of computer and SCADA equipment.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
