The Accountant in the Consolidations group provides support in completing the monthly financial consolidation process by researching and analyzing general ledger accounts and preparing supporting data. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support senior accounting staff with monitoring, reporting, and analysis of consolidated financial activity.
  • Support senior accounting staff with preparation of monthly/quarterly inter-company elimination entries.
  • Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from other departments.
  • Prepare and update supporting data files utilized in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, analysis, and other departmental tasks, as necessary.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially with Excel are required.
  • Proficiency with accounting concepts, such as financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, clear/critical thinking.
  • Strong work ethic, motivation and desire to develop and advance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
