The Control Engineer (Hardware Refresh) will be responsible for support of process control systems and maintaining hardware refresh requirements associated with cybersecurity. In addition, candidate will support pipeline projects and platform testing. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Designing and supporting the network security.
  • Providing technical support for process control computer systems.
  • Providing guidance and support for process control project scope and estimates.
  • Participating in operational training as related to these systems.
  • System tracking, validating software, performing patches, updating virus protection, and other security functions.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  • A degree in Engineering or related science or 5 years of controls or related experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience on implementation of process control and related systems in storage and pipeline facilities is required.
  • Experience designing and supporting network security is required.
  • Configuration experience in various HMI and PLC platforms is required
  • Honeywell Experion SCADA, Wonderware HMI, and Siemens TI, Modicon, and Allen Bradley PLC configuration experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work on a team or independently.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization (operations and contractors), both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and be on-call as required.
