Description
The Crude Marketing Scheduler is responsible for scheduling crude oil movements from offshore platforms to storage facilities and to refinery destinations. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Works closely with the Marketing Department to keep up with Enterprise Products Company's open positions, which includes additional or deleted volume(s) that impact the scheduling process.
- Prepare monthly receipt and delivery schedules for Enterprise Products Company's marketing business, which also includes the tracking of inventory in various pipeline systems and advising marketing of the company's position on each pipeline.
- Prepare monthly nomination letters to customers notifying of our intended schedule.
- Verify all pipeline statements for actual movement versus scheduled volumes.
- Review exchange statement positions for all buy/sell contracts and advising departments of necessary changes to the schedule to keep them in balance.
- Communicate with both internal departments and external customers to keep them advised of any updates, corrections or changes as deemed necessary.
- Prepare worksheets to analyze volumes for comparison purposes to assist in monthly scheduling process, which may also include maps, charts or graphs.
- Update reports for various departments as required.
- Extended hours will be required to meet deadlines periodically.
- Assist marketing and managers with any special projects or requests as needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or commensurate work experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years administrative experience with an emphasis in Contracts, Marketing, Accounting or Operations is required.
- A minimum of 3 years Crude Oil experience with an emphasis in scheduling or pipeline operations is preferred.
- Must have familiarity with mainframe applications and knowledge of PC based computer applications.
- Able to demonstrate team behavior and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Able to demonstrate effective leadership skills; have strong problem solving skills.
- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Able to depend upon to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion and to meet all productivity requirements and deadlines.
- Strive to improve or maintain positive internal and external customer relationships; may be required to be away from home at times.
